Galantine Mosaic Wine Glass Workshop
Impress your significant other on Valentine’s Day with a glass of wine in a glass you created. First, you’ll need a crash course in the subject. Head to Art Place Marietta on February 12 for an afternoon community workshop on the creation of a unique set of wine glass stem decorated in a mosaic of beads and glass. You’ll create the perfect gift and a creative way to make a toast on Valentine’s Day.
Galentine’s Day Boozeday Tuesday
If your Valentine’s Day doesn’t turn out quite as you planned, drown your sorrows with friends at the Fountain Acworth’s Galentine’s Day Boozeday Tuesday on February 15. Starting at 6:30 pm. For $50, you’ll enjoy an evening of food, drinks, crafts, and good times. Sample wines in a tasting lead by Prime Wine & Spirits’ Leanne Basi and learn how to make your own bath bombs from Danielle Buttrum of Impulse Glam. Plenty of hors d’oeuvres will be on hand and you’ll leave with three bath bombs of your own creation.
Art of the Cocktail
Celebrate this lover’s holiday on the eve of Valentine’s Day with a drink a the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art. Attend the museum’s Art of the Cocktail on Sunday, February 11. Enjoy the piano playing and singing of entertainer Johnny Porrazzo as you sip on an expertly-made cocktail, such as the signature Park Mule. The party kicks off at 5:30 pm. While you’re there, you’ll want to check out the Museum’s exhibits. The “Something to Declare” group exhibit showcases the talents of over 20 Latin-American artists. The “Be Still” exhibition features still life photography, sculpture, and painting from the MCMA’s permanent collection. Admission is free to members and $10 for non-members and includes an open bar and heavy hors-d’oeuvres.

Valentine’s Day Wine Tasting
Improve your knowledge of wine with special Valentine’s Day wine tasting at Shezmu Cellars, which was voted Best Winery in Georgia in 2020 by the Georgia Business Journal. Enjoy pairings of four fabulous wines, charcuterie, and chocolate created by Chef Brulee Chocolates and Gateaux in Roswell. The event starts a 6 pm so make it the first stop on an event-filled night of romance, but don’t forget to take advantage of the special offer of half-price bottles to go. Shezmu Cellars specialized in honey-wines, but they also have 30 craft beers on tap.

Beehive: The 60’s Musical
If you and your honey grew up listening to the sounds of the 1960s, then you will want to check out this musical that celebrates the sounds of that era. Beehive celebrates the powerful female singers who made that decade so memorable for so many. Enjoy renditions of “Son of a Preacher Man,” “Proud Mary,” “Me and Bobby McGee,” “My Boyfriend’s Back,” and many more. The tunes are presented by six performers as they tell their story and their experience growing up in this often turbulent yet defining decade in America. Feel free to get up and dance! Note, the production has moved to the Earl & Rachel Smith Strand Theatre located at 117 North Park Square in Marietta.

GSO JAZZ! Presents: “Something Romantic”
Set an early mood of Valentine’s Day romance on February 12 with a performance by the Georgia Symphony Orchestra. This evening of romantic jazz music will be conducted by GSO jazz director Sam Skelton. The performance, titled “Something Romantic”, will create the swinging performances of the past and present which makes it a wonderful present to your romantic partner. The performance begins at 8 pm at the Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre in Marietta.

It’s an evening of great food and wine, plus fantastic entertainment. Valentine’s Day Romantic Night at Ballroom DanceTime!
Dance the night away this Valentine’s Day in Marietta at Ballroom DanceTime. It’s a night of romance and fun starting at 7:30 pm on February 14. A reservation for this romantic night of dance includes a table where you can enjoy offerings from the buffet as well as drinks and appetizers. Also included in the fun are games and prizes in addition to Couples Dancing. There’s line dancing as well, so don’t worry if you don’t have a date – you might find one!
