1. Irving Berlin’s White Christmas at Anderson Theatre 

The holidays is filled with timeless classics, including Irving Berlin’s White Christmas film. The production features a song and dance by two sisters. Many uplifting and festive scores are played, such as “How Deep is the Ocean,” “I Love a Piano,” and “Blue Skies.” The film and music will be performed at Anderson Theatre in Marietta, GA, from Friday, December 17th through Sunday, December 19th.

2. World of Illumination’s Rockin’ Christmas 

Take your family through the world’s largest drive-through animated show in the country. Founded in 2016, the World of Illumination is an organization filled with artists, developers, and engineers who come together to tell a story. They specialize in providing awe-inspiring and immersive audio-visual experiences. 

This holiday season, you and your family can turn up the spirit by driving through their mile-long drive, full of festive bonanza. During the drive, you’ll see everything from retro Santa spinning musical notes to life-sized animations. There are hundreds of animated displays and millions of colorful lights, resulting in an unforgettable and mesmerizing display. What separates their drive-thru lighting from other festive lighting shows is the synchronized musical experience combined with animated displays.

3. Holiday Dream Photos with Santa in the Town Center at Cobb Mall 

Are you looking for family holiday photos to send to your relatives or keep around for memories? At the Cobb Mall in the Town Center, you can reserve holiday dream photos with Santa. 4. Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Georgia 

Six Flags Over Georgia is perhaps the most popular amusement park in all of Georgia. From November 20th through January 2nd, they are back with their Holiday in the Park-themed event. Bring your family to enjoy a wide variety of holiday experiences, rides, shows, and dining options. Join in on the holiday spirit by singing along with your favorite holiday carols or bop your head to classic tunes. The holiday shows lineup includes Boogie Woogie Santa Claus, Elf Sock Hop, Bad Bob Humbug, Tinseltones by Tomilson, Retro Christmas Live, and Holiday Looney Tunes Characters. Make sure to snap a family photo with your favorite Looney Tune pals while you’re there! 

In addition, there are many holiday activities to partake in, such as the holiday tree coming to life with dancing lights, meet and greet with Santa, letters to Santa, visiting the North Pole Playground, making holiday s’mores, taking a trip on the Holiday Express Train and much more!

5. Lights of Life 

Start the holiday season the right way by visiting the Lights of Life Christmas tree lighting. This isn’t a one-tree display either. You’ll be able to take train rides around the spectacle display that Life University is offering. Take your family there and prepare to be dazzled by the dozens of lights and holiday displays. In addition, the event features pony rides, a petting zoo, and a concession stand for guests to enjoy. This event will be open from November 25th, 2021, through December 31st, 2021.

6. The Nutcracker Presented by Georgia Metropolitan Dance Theatre

The Nutcracker is an annual tradition that you can’t miss! On Christmas Eve, a girl named Marie falls fast asleep at home and has a wondrous winter-wonderland dream. She enters a world where toys come to life, and the Nutcracker defends her against the evil Mouse King. 

Get ready for dazzling sights of dancing snowflakes, waltzing flowers, and sugar plums. The Georgia Metropolitan Dance Theatre is presenting its talented crew of performers along with its sets of costumes and special effects. Performances will be held at the Anderson Theatre in Marietta, GA, from November 26th through November 28th.

7. Lights at the Landing at Dallas Landing Park in Acworth 

This holiday season, you’ll have one more reason to shop around the Dallas Landing Park in Acworth. They are starting a new holiday tradition called Lights at the Landing. This event takes place for six weeks, from November 26th through January 2nd, where guests can walk through the new holiday light spectacular. Refreshments will also be offered for guests to enjoy during their quick excursion. 

Furthermore, they will feature Santa’s Arrival on December 3rd. There will be many performances and activities to help kick off the holidays! Bring your children to get a picture with Santa, watch the lighting of the Christmas tree and eat candy canes with elves!

8. Dave Koz & Friends Christmas Tour 2021 at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center 

Enjoy the performances of Grammy-nominated saxophonist Dave Koz along with his friends Richard Ellion, Rebecca Jade, and Jonathan Butler, who’ll be playing timeless holiday classics. In 2020, they hosted one of the most successful live streams during the holiday season. And this year, they plan to spread the holiday joy by performing at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center. The concert is on Friday, November 26th and starts at 8 PM.

9. Fearless Art Saturdays Special Holiday Edition 

Do your kids love art? Finding the right gift can be challenging, so why not make it straight from the heart? At West Cobb Regional Library on Saturday, December 18th, you’ll be able to bring your kids to make their own art items that are suitable for gift-giving. The process-art form can be messy, so they recommend wearing comfortable shoes and clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Kids can express their processed art form in many ways, such as decorating ornaments, paintings, and others.

10. Twelve Days of Christmas Holiday Craft Market 

Whether you’re a child, teen, or a senior citizen, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at the Holiday Craft Market. The 12 Days of Christmas features a wide array of activities and events for guests to enjoy. This includes the Artisan Market, Tree lighting at the Mable House, a Christmas Marketplace, live music, a double movie night, and a princess party and sing-a-long. 

For those who may need inspiration for gift shopping, we recommend checking out the Artisan Market. There are plenty of handmade items made by local artisans and artists that are perfect for last-minute holiday gifting shopping. The event begins on December 1st, 2021, and ends on December 12th, 2021.
