The tribute bands and classic crowd favorites always pull big audiences, especially once the weather cools off after sunset. Most people either set up directly inside Glover Park or grab spots along North Park Square for more room with larger groups.
Cobb County Pro Rodeo
When: July 10-11, 2026
The Cobb County Pro Rodeo brings a completely different energy compared to the usual summer concerts and festivals around the area. Jim Miller Park turns into a packed rodeo arena with bull riding, barrel racing, roping events, food vendors, and crowds cheering nonstop once the show starts.
Most people show up early to grab seats, walk through the vendor areas, and settle in before the rodeo begins at night. The covered arena helps a lot during Georgia summers, especially during hotter evenings.
Marietta Brazilian Festival
When: June 12-13, 2026
The Marietta Brazilian Festival brings a huge amount of energy to Cobb County every summer. Held near the Big Chicken in Marietta, the festival fills the property at Vine Atlanta Church with Brazilian food, live music, dance performances, vendors, and activities for all ages. Even people who have never experienced Brazilian culture before usually leave impressed.
The food is easily one of the biggest reasons people attend. You’ll find everything from pão de queijo and brigadeiros to larger traditional dishes like feijoada. The live samba, forró, and capoeira performances keep the atmosphere lively throughout the day, and families usually spend time around the workshops and activity areas too.
Scene on the Green
Scene on the Green is one of the more relaxed summer events in Cobb County, especially if you want an easy outdoor evening without dealing with large crowds or expensive tickets. Hosted at The Art Place, the series rotates between outdoor movies, live music, and even Shakespeare performances throughout the summer.
Most locals show up early with lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and snacks so they can grab a good spot before sunset. The atmosphere stays casual the entire night, and the lawn setup makes it easy for families, couples, and friend groups to spread out comfortably. Rummage & Book Sale
When: August 13-14, 2026
The Marietta History Center’s Rummage & Book Sale feels part treasure hunt and part community event. Every summer, locals show up looking for vintage finds, used books, home décor, toys, photography, and random pieces you honestly did not expect to leave with when you walked in.
The sale is especially popular with longtime Marietta residents who know good items disappear early. A lot of people also take time to walk through the museum galleries while they’re there, especially during the free admission day on Saturday.
Summer Downtown Classic Car Cruise
When: August 29, 2026
The Summer Downtown Classic Car Cruise in Acworth brings hundreds of classic cars into Historic Downtown Acworth and Logan Farm Park every August. You’ll see everything from old Model Ts to restored muscle cars lined up throughout the area while crowds walk around checking out the details and talking with owners.
Even people who are not huge car enthusiasts usually enjoy the atmosphere once they get there. The downtown setting gives the event a relaxed neighborhood feel, and the free admission helps keep it easy for families and casual visitors. Good weather, cool cars, and an excuse to spend a summer evening outside downtown.
